I wonder if the X800 pro will be faster then the Nvidia NV40, I assume the X800 XT being released may 31st will be.

I guess the NDA finishes soon so the benchmark tests can be released. Can't wait

Firstly Speed isnt everything. (when they are as close as these 2 brands are)

By what we are seeing the NV40 will be faster than the X800 pro but the X800 XT will surpass them both BUT, and this is the big BUT, I am sure the visuals on the ati product will be far superior than the nvidia product as usual and that is far more reson for me to stick to ATI at this stage.

Apparently the new ATI card wont support pixel shader 3.0 and the Nvidia card will. Won't mean much to anyone till some games actually use it, but the specs for the shader are pretty impressive.

I'm been very happy with my 9700pro but i'm happy to go back to Nvidia if there is a good enough reason, guess ill wait till the reviews come in.

When the X800XT hits I'll be there. The NV40 looks to be a very nice card but I can't get over all that driver cheating last year. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

Cheers

If they extend my contract for another year I'll buy one too - probably going to be like a weeks pay though!

Anyone interested in buying a 128mb 9800Pro ? :)
