Only things I can think of at this time are:

1. Is it a firewall issue?

2. Did you install an up to date steam, or an older one which then had to download updates? Did this updating end successfully?

3. Try posting those steam errors on the steam user forums or check for similar errors.

Sorry, not much help I'd say.

Cheers,
Max

4. Have you installed steam as "administrator" if you are using win XP or 2000?
(not sure if that's required)

.
.

I took a look at the steam forums and found someone with similar problem, but doesn't look like it was resolved online, but maybe you could contact the person.

Here's the link

Error when I start Steam
I didn't have any problems at all. But recently I've been getting this error.

Steam.exe (main exception): Win32 StructuredException at 77F67F26 : Attempt to write to virtual address 524544 without appropriate access rights.

And then when I click okay on that error I get this.

Steam.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x77f67f26" referenced memory at "0x00000001". The memory could not be "written".

Click on OK to terminate the program.

I've tried deleting SteamUI.dll to download a new one but that didn't work at all.

Any suggestions? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Steam.

Cheeers,
Max

Found this in the forums too, do so at your own risk :)

whenever you have a problem with steam, delete these files and restart it:
clientregistry.blob
steamui.dll
both are in your steam directory

OK last one, hopefully this is the one:

http://gamers-shack.com/site/KB265472042.php

KB#265472042 Win32 StructuredException
This is for the error that looks like: "steam.exe (main exception): Win32 StructuredException at xxxxxxxx: Attempt to write to virtual address xxxxxxxxxx without the appropriate rights."

Step One:
Open Your Steam Directory.

Step Two:
Delete All the folders in The Steam Directory (If you want to keep your favorite Server Don't delete the folder servers, wanna keep your games? Don't delete steam apps, wanna keep your skins? don't delete skins.)

Step Three:
Delete ALL of the files (not folders) in the Steam Directory EXCEPT for Steam.exe, Install.log and Unwise.exe.

Step Four:
Open Up steam and it should run Normally.

Cheers,
Max
