HL2 Multiplayer = CS

Well we just got back from the HL2 show and there are a few things to note that I'll put in courier just to annoy everyone:
- Half-Life 2 multiplayer is Counter-Strike on the Source engine and will be available at the same time as when Half-Life 2 ships. Counter-Strike gameplay doesn't seem to have changed much, if at all. Graphics of course, are much improved.
- Half-Life 1 is also ported over to the Source engine and will be available at the same time as when Half-Life 2 ships.
- During the presentation, Gabe Newell reiterated that Half-Life 2 is shipping this summer, although no specific date was given.
- Team Fortress 2 was not mentioned at all.

If this is true, i doubt i will buy HL2. Will just download an ISO and play single player part of the game. And if the single player game isnt as good as HL then this will be a big waste of time.

Shacknews did not report that Half-Life 2 Multi would be Counter-Strike 2, only that it is "Counter-Strike on the Source engine". The email sent to me made this assertion, although the Shacknews post does not.

Thank god for that, because the CS on source engine at the end of the E3 2004 trailer looks pretty much exactly the same as HL1 heh

Edit: Looking at it again, it does have very nice water effects and the models are higher detailed, etc. Hope DoD gets the same treatment.

TFC 2 has been, how should i put it, postponed for years...all the rant way back got me excited but i am sick of waiting for its release.

I hear TF2 will be out about the same time as HL2 Ons, then again rumours of this always pop up.
