Yep PtP! I'm anxiously awaiting them to ship to our shores but they'll be bloody expensive no doubt
I'm waiting for the R423 (X800 PE PCI Xpress) version anyway given the Intel i925 Alderwood chipset is being released in June (DDR2 Support with PCI Xpress and 4 native SATA ports!).
But even this card will pale into insignificance when you read this link...
Alienware X2 Super Beast (http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=43)
Can you imagine it PtP!? Duel Xeons with Duel R423's in true Parallel Video Processing running DOOM 3 or Half-Life 2
Shit I think I just made a mess of myself
ATi continues to impress me though - solid drivers and they still have Nvidia's measure when it comes to Image Quality.
Suffice it to say my current Radeon 9800XT will be up for sale as soon as R423 ships!
Cheers

I checked out a review of the new Nvidia ATI cards at anandtech and it seemed that the X800 was faster than the Nvidias in almost every single new game and was a bit behind the 8 ball with older GL games (who cares about that!?), so I'd definitely go for an ATI. But the most important thing to observe is how much faster the X800 XT is compared to the Pro. I seriously think its worth waiting for it anyone thats thinking of getting the Pro. Another month can't hurt :?
Also the physical limitations with my Shuttle dictate I get an ATI because the Nvidia wants two slots and two power connections! I'm pretty sure the ATI only uses 1.

The good news is ATi have acknowledged their lackluster OpenGL performance and are in the midst of writing the entire OpenGL Driver from scratch!

You can pick up x800's off ebay for around $440US ($612AU) + around $25AU for courier shipping. You could have yourself an X800 for far less than Aussie retail :P

Wouldnt actually make it run as fast as the XT unless you overclock it as well, but would certianly make it run faster with the full 16 pipes

Hey im a ATI fan as well and i have a ATI Radeon 9800 non pro however I recently had a look at a presentation of the Nvidia 6800 ultra wow its gonna take a lot from ATI to beat this card. I dont know if australia has the 512MB DDR3 version yet but shesh it knocked the pans of me.
16 pipes with more width through the pipe.
Realtime rendering gone bezerk......
