WEll I really dont want to pay for tech support so was after some ideas.

Basically once I install norton it runs fine (auto loads the way it should) but once I update it it doesn't auto load. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it and it still wont auto load. If I click on icon it initially hangs once I kill task it gives an intergration error. It then takes a reboot and another kill task to get it to work.

Anyone else have norton internet security and experiencing this issue?

Um Maybe i can help by politly telling you to uninstall the whole thing and only install the antivirus part of the cd. Then maybe get something a lot better like i use something called sygate firewall pro. Also being behind a router with a firewall built in does help as well.

O yes also this is only a suggestion offcourse, maybe try and get you hands on a copy of nortons corp edition of antivirus much better scan engine and virus definition.

I hope this helps.

Ok hak heres the deal when you uninstall norton you really dont uninstall it at all it leaves crapola in the registry and all over the joint I suggest you have a read here http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nav.nsf/docid/2001092114452606 and use the tool to uninstall it then try a fresh install also grab a registry editing tool (there are heaps out there) and check if there are no more references to norton before you install. Also norton and MS office dont like each other , Norton should be the absoloute last thing that you install on your PC It really sounds like a conflict between two programs try shuting some programs down 1 at a time and running it again and see if this helps then when you find the problem program uninstall it and reinstall it after norton.

Hope this helps.

I installed Norton Internet security recently as it came with a new Motherboard. I uninstalled it in about 20 minutes. Norton Antivirus is pretty good but Internet security wasn't much use really

Besides with the sort of websites and stuff I go to, i'd be getting alerts every 2 minutes ;)
