Absolutely appaling.
Eyecandy is definatly better, they have most certainly refined the gfx, BUT same old horrible game to play on pub servers being owned or owning :(

Well raids never liked the previous version, so i'll ignore that. PtP, balancing wise is it better or worse then the previous version?

Balance is good trauma, lerks have gas straight away, gorges have bile boms....etc
Played a bit earlier rines still own at start and res can be bloody slow but onosing on 2 hives is great fun (and devour ROCKS) well worth the D/L :D

The balancing is uber compared to the previous versions. There has been hardly any "OMG I said I was gorg you idiot" which is what we all love to hate.
The res rate is definately balanced compared to the older version. Structures are easier to build at the start and it's rather hard to spam offence towers because the res runs out too quick. Evolving to anything from the start is a bonus, but the problem is getting Onos, it's a tad bit too slow to start with.
The upgrades are cool, especially the sensory! you build them hidden around the map and anyone can move around cloaked and build cloaked. Most marines are smart enough to shoot blindly at res points.
I haven't had much of a chance to play marines, but from the time I did, I noticed a few extra perks. One being the new radar. It works properly now, you can see the aliens move on it and any res points and hives known to be taken by them.
