Yes my beloved Sony 21" G500 is for sale. Many a fellow gamer has drooled over this monitor which quite frankly, no LCD can touch with a 10' crowbar (And thats a big crowbar).
I bought the Sony for one reason - they (arguably) build the best CRT monitors (Mitsubishi Diamaton comes close). This is a monitor built for Gamers and I needn't tell you everything just looks stunning and that includes mundane Office Apps as well. So I bought this beast in 2001 and at the time it cost me $2300:00. It weighs 30Kg so it would beat the crap out of any puny LCD that gave it any lip service. It has never skipped a beat and looks as good today as it did then.
Condition - perfect out of the box condition - zero marks on chassis/screen was always carefully cleaned once a month. Still have the box (I think).
Cost - $450. Caveat - I'm not shipping this monitor ANYWHERE - it's too damn big so a pickup is required (Melbourne).
So if you're still stuck with a wimpy 15", 17" or dare I say 19" monitor with questionable refresh rates then this baby is for you. Does 100Hz @ 1600x1200 with the right video card. BNC and HD15 connectors. OSD is one of the easiest I've ever used. Can be optimally tuned using Adobe Gamma ICC profiles.
My future replacement (And Xmas present)? A 30" widescreen Apple Cinema Display. Oh come on you still love me don't you? :)
Usual contacts - bladernr@bigpond.net.au and ICQ #29991564. First in best dressed.
Cheers
