SYSTEM INTEGRATORS and distributors close to the OEM action say that Microsoft is shipping its Windows software with Computer Associates Antivirus included.
As well as being bundled with OEM Windows, the integrators say that it's likely to be coming as an update pack as well. See here (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4390.html), for example.
If these reports are correct - and we're waiting to hear from Microsoft - this, we'd suggest, is not going to make antivirus companies like Symantec very happy. Several hardware manufacturers bundle AV packages with their machine, but OEM Windows is widely used by integrators for "white boxes" they sell.
