I dropped just after you croew as the map ended, and happened on 2 or 3 occasions over the course of the evening.

I'm experiencing severe choppiness at times, and it seems many people are, as people were complaining.

By the way the WTF server seemed to only use the one map, any chance it could cycle a bit?

I only got to see 2 maps or 3 maps for the evening. I love the chinese (I assume) one with points all along the river, some up higher. And another with snow capped mountains, it's hard to believe the scope of detail and beauty, and numbers of people playing, sheer number of vehicles and weapons is even possible to play online. I'm dumbfounded, although slightly disappointed at the teething problems given the demo played much more smoothly. Hopefully they will overcome the problems quickly.

same here after screwing around with my username for 45 friggin mins to get it to accept it I finally got in a game played for 15 mins and the game just simply dissapeared, no crash or errors just dissapeared. Ive had this happen to me in BFV on many occasions it compleately shuts the system right off and windows comes back with the system has recovered from a serious error. The data contained in this error appears to be related to the audio drivers I use my onboard sound which is realtec ac97 with legacy drivers id be keen to know if you other amd64 users have the same audio cause I think this is the problem. Im about to hunt down mew video and audio drivers and see if that helps.

Are you sure the server isn't rotating maps?

Hmm, I'll take a look, I dont know much about BF server configs, but the maplist.con looked alright I thought.

I seem to recall in the audio options you could choose different methods of audio, i.e. software and hardware, and mine was set to software by default from memory.

Hey Ons, I only saw the one map, that is sort of all dusty or cloudy.

I went there a few times, same map each time, may be just coincidence.

Stayed there a fair while on one occasion and didn't change map.

Cheers,
Max

maybe there is no time limit set on server, and as there is so little people in the server the tickets ran down very slowly, so the map isnt rotating.

Funny thing today I started a game twice and played for around 15 mins then crash to desktop, I them played for 2 full maps without a problem. 1 thing I hve found is that bf2 and zone alarm do not get along.

yeh ive had it crash at the end of the map back to desktop as well as having been disconected a few times due to packet loss.

I like the maps that ive played, have lots of open spaces as well as confined spaces for close combat.
