Whats the best virus scanner out there at the moment, after 3odd years of no scanner, i finally copped a bad virus that required formatting, then proceeded to reinstall some programs and boom virus was back o_O

So yeah, just wondering whats the best out there and if anyone has any links etc?

Kaspersky does well for us and doesn't let anything in http://www.kaspersky.com/downloads but that's a paid program.

Free online scanners aren't bad either ....

And the best would probably be Panda...

I started using avast...and I love it, it ain't no bloatware like norton either.
Apparently 1 diff between nortons and avast, is that avast can actually repair the files that can be infected, where as nortons just quarentines the whole file.
Anyways, I have found it great.
