i was over at ozfortress, looking through some of the end game scores... came across this ...

and others ... look at those textures now, isnt that just blatantly cheating?
i know theyve been around a while, but jeez that is too far :|

WHY would you ever use those textures it all looks so SHIT, do these people enjoy playing the game, as a game ?

no wonder these guys are so "good" they exploit everything they can "legally" exploit... that is wrong, glad we are not playing them often, if at all, cant wait for HL2 where these guys might actually have to use some skill for a while (until they just develop more hax for hl2 :( )

i know its not exactly to the extent of wallhack or aimbot, but jeez it just as well should be, for example someone like ptp wont stand a chance without his ability to hide, sneak around like a spy is supposed to ... play the game the way it was designed etc, there is no need to change ANYTHING that dramatically

i hope no one in here will ever go to that extent, especially some of the less experiencd players in nwo or wdw ...

Pali, I believe just used the wrong words to build his case.

NWO and WDW have some very accomplished players. I think he was trying to mean it from the aspect of strategy and and skills in team orientation... which is damned hard and WTF are constantly learning in this aspect.

I think he was saying that he hoped you guys would not disolve into the "leet" clan style, by using every form of script, texture and manipulation to try and get an unfair advantage over other players/teams.

Accept my apologies, and lets end this thing before it starts to leave a sour taste in some peoples mouths.

im not even going to enter the debate on sparkies, been there done that.
Actually shiva a ban on sparkies would help your defence team and even o team, comms wise.
Rather than letting the script auto do it for you, you would have to rely on real comms, binds or mic, and it would get your players alot more accustomed to supplying teammates with info. (one area that i thought was lacking when i pracced 1/2 a map with you's). Not sure who was using it or not, but comms is one place that needs alot of work.

I did not mean anything at all offensive, my point was that there are some (relatively) new players around, who have not been through years of controversies, and i would hope that these players try to build on their skills and team work over time, instead of trying to become an instant super star and take every advantage possible just to "win" instead of playing the game for fun as it actually is. Some younger, and newer players tend to forget that it is just a game - but winning isnt everything.

i never once accused you of using them i was just giving my advice that i hope none of you take the easy way out and use those cheap advantages, instead of building on skills teamwork etc. one super dooper player with all those scripts and hax does not make a team. I also think you nwo/wdw guys are great and have great potential to be a "team work" based clan instead of a leet-like clan based on each persons individual skill (or hax) level...

The intent of this statement was quiet clear to me, it was saying he was hoping reletivly new players such as yourself didnt build your tfc skills up using these advantages as when we finally see VAC and these advantages will be squashed you would end up being so far being people that havnt used these advantages.

I didn&#39;t take palisade&#39;s comment above as an attack specifically on those clans, or even specific players, and more of a harmless plea that new players and clans on the block don&#39;t resort to dirty (hack) tactics to catch up to the clans and players who&#39;ve been a long time on the scene. He merely cited a couple of young clans to illustrate his point.

I&#39;m sure he meant no malice in his comments to either clan.

The downside is he is "associating" a negative comment with those clans which sometimes gets lost in the message and can make those clans guilty by association, so perhaps it&#39;s best not to use actual clan names to get the point across.

Correct me if i&#39;m wrong pali, but werent you just saying that these clans are relatively inexperienced, and have many new/young players, who you dont what to see using cheats merely to try and compete with well established clans.

In the case of NwO, i think pali is right we ARE a new clan and have HEAPS of new and young TFC players, and i wouldnt want to see us use scripts, hax, or whatever ....

Cheating will always be out there and unfortunately because of the immature nature of some players, it won’t go away&#33;&#33;

All you can do is trust the clans and the friends you play with.

Some measures have been taken to rectify this problem in gaming but unfortunately it just seems to be a never-ending problem where one problem is patched up and another one crops up to be exploited by these bastards. For instance, gaming administrators, cheat inhibitors (punk buster) have been introduced. This problem will ultimately lead to experienced players liking the &#39;game&#39; to leave.

If you are one of these cheaters reading this thread or my post specifically, BUZZ OFF&#33;&#33;
