They make them take demo's so why not a screenshot as well.
As far as enforcing it, they cant enforce undectable aimbots and wallhacks either should they be accepted as well?

yeah that kind of thing can easily be proven with a screenshot, if they really wanted to ban it they WOULD

this is only because they WANT to use those texture cheats as im pretty sure most of them DO

they figure if they all use it its ok, but that is just selfish, they are forgetting about the ones who compete in ozfort and dont want to cheat :| im sure there are some of those, rokers and others

That is extremely disturbing to say the least. What sort of precedent does this set for Online Gaming?

A terrible one IMHO. The glory days of TFC are long gone I'm afriad. I'm just glad I played at the peak of it's popularity along with the best players.

If TFC2 becomes a reality and these sort of exploits are used I'm afraid the game will become a farce.

Life is just becoming a succession of shortcuts :realmad:

They must be the most shoddy textures ever, Hal Life supports alot nicer textures and in Quake2's but they failed to take advatage of it.

Also alot of things dont lineup in HL, although new textures tend to make more that dont.

Reading through the post on ozfort ive found they are of the opinin of either ban them all, or let them be, honestly screenies would be a consuming task i must admit, gettin each player to submit 3 screenies per match = 48 screenies, i'd hate to be the admin. They should of just left this and didnt even worry about bringing it up or making a "policy" on it.

I thought thered be more flames and discussion on this than an ax1 or small explosions thread.

This dosent have to be done, just random checks as they do with demo's, anybody not supplying screenies when asked gets temp bans as they do now with demo's.

The whole point is they are condoning whitewalls which is known as a cheat worldwide.

Interesting thing I found yesterday was using HLguard in "tournament" mode all player models and even v models have to be standard in other words a pure TFC.

Out of interest who are the rule makers for ozfortress? I don't really keep tabs on the TFC community anymore, as I dont like where a lot of players have taken it.
