Hi guys and gals, the quetion is,

I have my normal lan setup through 5 port hub and all is well.
I bought a USB wireless thingy to hook up lap dog. Is it possible to have internet sharing between wirless and lan? I cant seem to get it to work.

I think I may have to go all wirless or put up with cable to lapdog, which defeats the purpose.

Thanks in advance.
Love Willy.

A combination is no problem at all, you just need to be a little more specific than "USB wireless thingy" what make and model is it.

I don't quiet understand why you needed a usb thingy at all, you just needed to Ethernet connect a wireless access point to your hub and away you would go.

EDIT: I am assuming you have set up a gateway....

ahahahahaha, I had the same problem, it took me fecking ages to find out why it didn't work. What you need to do is use the 'setup a home or small office network' wizard, using the right crap. However wireless network cards don't perform very well in a bridge, so you need to set it to compatability mode manually. That will fix it, but it'll still be a bit tempremental.

^^^ go there and follow the steps for troubleshooting a 'wireless bridge'

Ok a quick google of "Diamond Digital A101 setup help"

Gave me the users manual for that particular unit. I assume you would have received it when you got the router. Looking through the manual it appears pretty straight forward to follow and setup (even for a chicken farmer) :p

Anyways try following the manual and if you get stuck post what point you are upto and we will try sort it from there.

Do you have a wireless connection on your network? or just an ethernet hub?
