Insurgency mod nears release

The highly anticipated Half-Life 2 modification 'Insurgency' is now nearing completion for its first release.

The mod is a realism mod based on events currently taking place in Iraq since the US invasion.

Looks pretty slick. Maybe this will take off and bring certain wtf'ers to put down their swords, whip off their leather breeches & jerkins (what's a jerkin anyway?) and join us again. Please leave all loincloths on untill you have reported to stores and collected your new kit :)

As far as free mod goes biggles well worth the download, has a few bugs but they will be ironed out in the comming patches. It strangly has a DoD x BF2 feel but not as fast paced as BF2 I find the whole thing a little to slow but once you were used to it I think it would be a good game. Nice eye candy good figures nice weapons, Id give it a 8/10 score compared to BF2 10/10 and DoD :S 6/10

Yeah reminds me of Americas Army/ BF2, but im finding it damn hard to distinguish friend from foe especially when someone goes rambo and ends up where the oposing team should be. Been dropped from servers many times for FF.

Yeah biggs damn frustrating I find. I tend to err on the side of caution if I don't know what team, and well hesitation means death, and lots of it lol

Also gota make sure you dont reload too close to enemy lines as it bloody yells out to team that your reloading
