Radeon 9800XT Released!

As predicted the ATi Radeon 9800XT has been offifically announced by ATi. There are a myriad reviews of the new card but I picked one of the better ones for you to read.

Whilst the 9800XT is essentially an overclocked 9800Pro it does offer some cool (Excuse the pun) features like it's unique fan and dynamic overclocking via the next release Catalyst 3.8 Drivers.

The card should hit locally within the next 2 weeks (If not sooner). One noteworthy feature of this card....it only comes in 256Meg versions :?

It certainly is mate. The way it will work is like this. ATi will provide a redeemable voucher inside the box so you simply go anywhere to grab your copy of HL2. IF HL2 ships before then you'll get it as part of the package. When HL2 is released the full game will be in the box but until then you'll get a voucher. So essentially it doesn't matter which way you look at it you'll get HL2 as part of the cards price ;)

Yeah the card is great! I get 5200 in 3DMark 2003 and pretty much every game runs smooth as silk - except I guess Ravenshield which uses more CPU power....but its pretty sweet nonetheless. Chrome with everything turned on - oooh baby :D

And yes it out does your pissy 9700 Pro :-P

I think I have the fastest card here? Better soak this up while it lasts! 8)
