FPS DROPPED ?

Hey Guys,

Last night I played fps were fine tonight I played cant get fps over 50 it tops out.
FPS_MAX 400 in config nothing has changed except for an update by steam and I installed Norton Internet Security any Ideas ??? Cant play wif 50 fps :cry:

Tunr off Norton. I heard somewhere that it slows everything down.

Ive fixed it you need to turn off the alert tracker it stays ontop of all applications and slows your framerate :)

does that stop it tracking alerts though? you talking the window or the 1/2 world icon?

No it still works just turns off the little world thingymebob on the right of the screen. But now I have a different problem I can play TFC without a problem but when I start DOD and CS it starts to load and then gets about halfway and nothin next min server time out appears ? Any ideas any 1 ? :cry:

i have that at the moment, every now and then, i belive it is updating dod/cs as there are new updates out, but it does not update in time to join the server and times out...that is what i think anyways i may be wrong

create a local server and load maps that way so as you dont time out
