I liked it a lot, the cgi stuff was much better done and less noticable, the fight scenes acutally had some meaning this time, 4/5 methinks

very good.
only problem was that the third movie brought no clarity to the first two, or even itself. They needed someone to stop it about half way and say "alright this is what has happened" . BUt then again i'm a noob.
definitly a movie worth seeing a few times, if not to marvel in its absolute coolness, then atleast so that you understand it. 8)
p.s. for some reason i thought of diggs during this movie... HWG galore :D

I thought it was sensational. Taken as a whole I'm guessing The Matrix will be discussed for quite a long time (Perhaps not as much as the sublime Bladerunner of 1982 but then I'm biased there :))
My suggestion to anyone who sees it is get hold of the leaked script that came out about 5 weeks ago. Whilst a lot of the script (I'd prefer to call it a Synopsis) didn't make it into the movie there are some excellent explanations about the significance of the various characters and how (And why) they came to be. Reading this synopsis really helped me understand the significance of some scenes. I'm guessing the Brothers who made these films want the audience to interpret the story for themselves. There are a lot of Social, Religious & Philosophical overtones to these movies but overall it's really just a complicated allegory to explain Technology vs it's creators (Shit I'm sounding like I'm writing an essay for Uni again :P).
The effects were staggering and yep I agree, the CGI is exquisite and absolutely transparent. I'm going out on a limb here and saying it's without doubt the best CGI I've seen in a movie yet (Barring the LOTR movies). I'll definitely see it again just for the Zion battle and Neo vs Smith fight.
Cheers

I think I'm still deciding whether i liked it or not.. the fact that I we had crummy seats didnt help.

Personally I thought it was just filler to the first two movies to sum it up, yeah the CGI and action was grat, but it never felt it had that something the other two did.

Do you not think that revolutions and reloaded, were infact one movie. just as the lord of the rings trilogy is infact one book???
And matrix revolutions is infact one of the FEW sequels that actually gives some completeness to its prequels. Was its intention not to give finality to the other two?? I think clearly it was, and that is a GOOD THING!!
I think that there was nothing wrong with the plot to this movie, and i would go so far as to say it was better that the previous two. The improvement in graphic was awesome and thhe only thing letting it down is some 'unrealistic ' elements. However clearly we are all bias as people who know more about computers and machines and viruses than most of the population... ME excluded of course because i am and ABSOLUTE noob :P :)

i think we were all trying to discuss the movie without giving anything away about its actual plot bars :)
maybe a edit to "that death" or something like that is in order.
But indeed you are right, almost beats a hamlets end.

hm saw it yesterday, weds
i think that is one of the most entertaining movies i have ever seen, and would be one of the best movies i have ever seen except for 2 flaws -
1- Neo being able to use his powers outside the Matrix = gay, he could do more cool stuff outside the matrix than in it (sept fly O_O)
2- truce? wtf? i know the whole matrix thing is a cycle and there'll be more neo's blah blah blah, but i would have liked this neo to END the cycle and actually BEAT the machines... like the prophecy said in the first place - free them from the machines or something
but there is another side to that, which the councilor was on about in 2nd movie, how ppl and machines live together in peace kinda thing, but still sux :|
oh and mechs = goliath from starcraft = win

PS. why dont they have EMP-cannons defending their city ....

well i understand the whole movie so if you have any questions i will be happy to answer them. BUt i will start by saying a few short things.
THe difference between this time and all previous times where there has been a "one" is the love neo has for trinity and the presence of Agent Smith. He is the difference and he is the reason why this time the humans could survive and peace existed.
Smith, as it is said in the movieis the 'opposite' of neo, his purpose is to kill neo.
Neo is there as a result of the unbalanced equation, Smith is there because the equation is trying to balance itself out. Smith becomes too powerful and eventually deystroys neo in the matrix and therefore has no longer got a purpose.
He is deleted because like all programs, when they no longer have a purpose they can either be deleted or return to the source. BUT because smith is connected to the source via neo's body, he can be deleted no probs.
Although he has the eyes of the oracle, Smith cannot see his own destruction because "oyu cannot see past a choice you dont understand." the architect cant see into the future at all, because he understands no choices. SMith cant see any choices without a purpose ( smashes the cookie and goes nuts at Neo).
Neo can control the sentinals ecause the ability of the 'one' extends into the human world, as the oracle puts it. He can sens electro magnetic fields, ( this is something to do with humans becoming more like machines, and becoming more sensitive to electro magnetic forces) which is why he can see the machines and see smith when he is in that dudes body.
Neo Isnt dead.
Machines are becoming more human.
They dont spam emps because they whore emps cos they are not spammers like some EMP biatches :P
CHicken is good, beer is better.
Any more questions, i will be happy to attemp to answer

nice work
explained some stuff that wasnt so clear... i still think its stupid he has powers outside the matrix, because that is the REAL world no one can... the whole point of the first movie was to explain how it WASNT real hence he could manipulate it, therefore u shouldnt be able to manipulate the real world because.... its real
where did u rip all that from? :)

lets just say i tore myself a new arsehole.
He doesnt actally have any special ability outside.. other than he can sens electro magnetic fields, not know how "special" that is, i'd rather fly personally.
Another thing is the machines couldnt just create a new program bigger and better than Agent smith, designer to kill smith, because then it would lose its purpose as soon as smith went, and thus Neo would be all powerful because there is no opposite to him. Without an opposite, the equation is unbalanced.
Reference to the 'others' by the oracle at the end, when she says, "what will happen to the others?" and the
architect says "they will be freed (something like that)"
oracle "are you sure"
architect "what do you think i am, human?"
this is in reference to those humans that reject the matrix, theyy will be sent to Zyon.
And he says "what do you think i am, human?" because machines cannot lie. The same reaason why that cool asian fighting guy is happy to put down his weapons when the meravingian (merv) says he will let them go.
The oracle's bodyguard (asian dude) was most likely made by merv. 'Stolen' by the oracle and probably hanged a little bit. Which is why merv knows who the asian guy is and why all the bounces say "look whos back" and all that.
OMG i couldnt understand anything merv said, or what was said to him, because OH DEAR LORD his girlfriends breast were amasing. Even though i have watched it twice, both times i recall nothing other than amazing breasts. My g/f even said that she wished she had breast like that, i said ' so do i' and she cracked it and nearly beat me. But instead the rage was released later :P ;)
