Just thought that some of you may have xp and MSN (*shudders*) on your system and may be wanting to remove it...here is how I did it.

in your "run" box type :
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

and should be all better

If not then try this method (lot more work)
Removing MSN? Some of you out there may wish to remove MSN Messenger from Windows XP. I know it's hard to believe. But, it doesn't appear from the Add/Remove Programs applet in the Control Panel. In order for it to show up there, you must first edit the file named sysoc.inf. This file can be found in a folder named INF, which is a subfolder of the Windows folder (or in some cases the winnt folder, depending on how your OS was installed). You can open that file in notepad. Look for the following line to edit:

msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,hide,7

and then remove the word "hide" while leaving the commas on place (""). Save and close the file, now open the Add/Remove Programs applet in the Control Panel, so now you can remove it like any other program.

Personally I would use the 1st one but tought I would give you all options :D
